Spring into Greener Mobility with the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid

April 15th, 2024 by

Okay, so you’ve decided that you want to reduce your carbon footprint, but you’re not quite ready to make the leap to all all-electric vehicle (EV). Even a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) is a bridge too far, given that you might also want your own charging station, increasing your costs.

You can still do your bit for the environment while also lowering your fuel costs, by going with a “Greener” alternative. Not the “Greenest,” but pretty darn good. One place to turn for advice is GreenerCars.org, which publishes a list compiled using ratings from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE).

And, (no) surprise! Right at the top of the “Greener” list is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. It’s what’s called a Gas Hybrid. The automotive experts at Car and Driver have a comprehensive explanation of what that means, as well as provides a description of the “Series Hybrid” that includes the Honda Accord Hybrid, as well as the Honda CR-V Hybrid. BTW, the Honda Accord Hybrid is one of Car and Driver’s “Best Hybrid Cars” list.

The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid notched a Green Score of 62 (compare that to the “Greenest” car in the ACEEE survey). It has an MSRP of just $32,895 (Sport Hybrid variant) and estimated annual fuel cost of $982, based on an estimate of 15,000 miles driven.

The Accord Hybrid comes with a 204-hp hybrid powertrain that gets EPA-estimated mileage of 46 city/41 highway. And it comes loaded with standard Honda Sensing® safety technology and great amenities, including an extra-wide 12.3-inch touchscreen and Google Alexa built in.

The Accord Hybrid is a great family vehicle that looks good, feels good and, as a “Greener” hybrid, does good, too. A Schomp Honda client advisor would be happy to show you why it just might be the best car for you.
