Honda Is a Triple Winner in the 2020 Automotive Sweepstakes

May 11th, 2020 by

It’s not unusual to see a Honda in the winner’s circle but this time we have three winners to brag about. The timing couldn’t be better, either, because the recent stay-at-home orders have made shopping for new cars more difficult. It’s hard to kick the tires from your living room, even as online shopping has gotten easier. So, getting advice about winners from respected third-party sources makes online shopping just a bit easier. Here are the three winning Hondas:

Autotrader, which describes itself as “the most recognized third-party car listings brand … the foremost authority on automotive consumer insights …,” pointed out that, “the CR-V is a good small SUV no matter which one you get (gas only or hybrid), but the hybrid version really stands out.”  The 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid got high marks from Autotrader’s reviewers for its interior: “It’s just pleasant – spending time inside the CR-V is something to look forward to,” its performance and capability.

It’s helpful to note that Autotrader’s reviewers had to unanimously agree on the vehicles that made it on the list. As they note, “Every vehicle on this list comes with some unexpected benefit or set of features that change the way you’d think of that car or the brand that it comes from.”

Good Housekeeping has been a respected voice for families and consumers for many decades, so having it include the 2020 Honda Accord and Honda Insight on its list of 16 Best Family Cars carries some weight. It teamed up with the equally venerable automotive publication, Car and Driver to rate vehicles based on safety, value, handling, design, and technology, plus “all the little things people really care about…” when they are looking for a new car.

About the 2020 Honda Accord – its “Best Sedan” –  Good Housekeeping’s editors enthused that, “It’s loaded with standard safety features and has a roomy interior and a large trunk (best in class at nearly 17 cubic feet). Plus, it’s a blast to drive!” And they sum up, “It’s the perfect balance of performance, reliability and practicality.” Oh…and it’s a blast to drive!

The 2020 Honda Insight took Good Housekeeping’s award for “Best Hybrid Sedan” among other reasons because it “doesn’t scream ‘Look, I’m green!’ It’s just quietly efficient and responsible, offering superb fuel economy.” They pointed out that it’s quick, has a roomy interior and a lot of cargo space.
