Honda continues its winning ways!  Three Hondas – the Odyssey, Accord and Civic – earned 2022 Best Cars for the Money awards from U.S. News & World Report. Honda also was named the 2022 Best Car Brand.

U.S. News & World Report team of experts has been reviewing vehicles since 2007. In making its choices it takes into account hard data, such as fuel economy, cargo space, safety and reliability, as well as independent reviews from many sources.

U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 Best Car Brand.  “… offers a strong selection of gas-powered and hybrid cars that are each solid picks on their own,” U.S. News’ editors wrote, specifically calling out the 2022 Honda Civic (Best Compact Car), the 2022 Honda Accord (Best Midsize Car), as well as mentioning the Insight and Clarity hybrids.

U.S. News says these awards “find the balance between cars that focus on value and cars that provide excellent ownership experiences…the winners have the best combination of quality and value in their respective classes. They’re not just good cars, they’re also good deals over the long haul.” 

• The 2022 Honda Odyssey won the “022 Best Minivan for the Money as well as  the 2022 Best Minivan for Families. U.S. News consulted almost 40 different pieces of data and reviews. The 2022 Odyssey was lauded for “cavernous seating space, a responsive infotainment system and premium cabin materials,” as well as a comfortable ride and good handling. Independent reviewers often mention the Odyssey’s safety and reliability and family-friendly features. 
• The 2022 Honda Civic won the 2022 Best Compact Car for the Money. U.S. News said it earned its #1 spot in the compact car rankings “on the strength of its sleek interior, welcoming seating, and lively performance.” It also has a choice of different models which the U.S. News experts rank #1 in Compact Cars, #1 in Hatchbacks and #1 in Small Cars. The editors relied on 18 different reviews, as well as reliability scores and estimated fuel economy.
• The 2022 Honda Accord won the 2022 Best Mid-Size Car for the Money, and 2022 Best Midsize Car for Families. The U.S. News & World Report experts based their rankings on 32 different pieces of reviews plus several data points. The consensus is that the 2022 Honda Accord is praiseworthy for its “spacious and premium interior with comfy seats, a user-friendly infotainment system, and lots of standard tech and safety features,” as well as driving enjoyment, fuel economy and cargo capacity.
