It’s Awards Season. And Honda Keeps Winning … and Winning Some More!
It’s just human nature to want to know that the vehicle you drive is a cut above others. That’s why we love to be able to brag about the recent awards and accolades Honda has received for some of its vehicles.
There is plenty to brag about:
Value
The 2023 Honda Civic recently won recognition from U.S. News & World Report as its 2023 “Best Compact Car for the Money,” while the Odyssey won for “Best Minivan for the Money.”
Add that to recognitions from Car & Driver. The 2023 Honda Accord, Civic and CR-V all landed on Car and Driver’s “2023 10 Best” list. The publication also gave “Editor’s Choice” awards to the Accord (Family Sedan), the Civic Sedan (Compact Car) and Civic Type R (Sport Compact Car), the CR-V (Compact SUV), the Odyssey (Minivan), the Passport (Mid-size SUV), and the Ridgeline (Mid-size Pickup). Incredibly, this is the 37th time the Honda Accord has won Car & Driver’s crown.
Safety
Every one of Honda’s models have been recognized by the federal government’s National Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) with its 5-Star Overall Vehicle safety designation. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also has given its top safety award – IIHS Top Safety Pick+ to the Accord, Civic, HR-V and Odyssey. The CR-V received the Top Safety Pick designation.
Fuel Efficiency
The federal Environmental Protection Agency says that “Honda is the most fuel-efficient full-line automaker in America over the last five years.” That comes from an update to 2019 research conducted by EPA.
