The 2016 Honda Pilot is aerodynamically designed and has never looked sharper. It is powered by a 280hp 3.5L i-VTEX V6 engine and comes with a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission or a 9-Speed Automatic with paddle shifters on Touring level trims and up. To further increase fuel efficiency, the Pilot can automatically turn off the engine when stopped. All-Wheel Drive is also optional as well on all trim levels. A 5,000 pound towing capacity is also at your command with AWD or 3,500 with 2WD. The Pilot can seat up to 8 and still have room for an 82-quart cooler behind the 3rd-row seat. Available features include a power tailgate that can raise or lower with hands-free access, a panoramic roof, and LED lights. On EX-L and above trims you can get one-touch 2nd row seats that conveniently move the seats forward for easy access along with a leather-trimmed interior. Inside your center console has a 4.2-inch display or an 8-inch touch display in EX and above trims that will display music, phone, navigation info and more. A Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines also comes standard in all models. A few options can be had for the rear entertainment system included DVD or Blu-ray playback on a 9-inch screen. You can also enjoy a 540-watt audio stem with 10 speakers including subwoofer on Touring trim models and up. Other safety features include forward collision warning, blind spot detection, a road departure mitigation system, and Honda LaneWatch which features a small camera on your right side mirror that can project an image on the display screen revealing nearly four times more than the passenger-side mirror alone.
